More than twenty national exhibitors joined Governor Ed Rendell and Guest Speaker Brian Roberts of Comcast; Philadelphia Eagles' cheerleaders, Pep Band and former Pro Bowl quarterback Randall Cunningham; Steelers and Eagles HD footage on a 25-foot screen; Comcast SportsNet's 50-foot HD production truck; tailgate entrees presented by servers in Steelers and Eagles jerseys; and much more leading up to the Eagles-Dallas Monday Night Football game.

PENNSYLVANIA SOCIETY/ESPNZone

Several hundred legislators, BCAP system member personnel and invited guests jam the Bristol Suite at ESPN Zone, Times Square in early December for BCAP's annual "Broadband Kickoff" reception to the popular "Pennsylvania Society" legislative weekend in New York City. Pennsylvania lawmakers from Harrisburg and Washington - surrounded by over a hundred interactive games and attractions - graze on a spectacular buffet while schmoozing with our celebrity guest. In 2008, former Phillies All Star first baseman - and current ESPN baseball analyst - John Kruk greeted guests and signed autographs during the three-hour event. BCAP's private suite overlooks Times Square, giving guests the ideal venue to catch the holiday sights while kicking off a festive weekend in Manhattan.

EITC

Two private schools in York County were the recipients in November of a combined $205,345 grant from the Pennsylvania Cable & Telecommunications Foundation, distributing the funds through the Commonwealth's "Education Improvement and Tax Credit" (EITC) Program. Through donations made by former Association Chairman Bill Domurad, York Catholic High School and St. Joseph School in Dallastown received checks in ceremonies attended by Rep. Stan Saylor (R-York). "Bill's generous help and commitment to this effort will benefit students who otherwise might not be able to attend these schools," said Dan Tunnell, BCAP President, during the ceremony.
